Wishing all ‘Learning to speak ‘merican’ readers all good things for 2012. Thank you for all your great contributions this year. I have lots of ideas for 2012 and do hope you’ll keep coming back and sharing. I think it’s going to be a great year!

I love watching the ball drop in Times Square, but I also adore London’s fireworks. Hope you like them too.

Ah, what a shame! Since posting the video of the fireworks it has been removed from Youtube.

Happy new year!

A very happy New Year! Thank you for the fireworks. I never knew about them, and they put the annual Times Square business to shame. Absolutely magnificent!

  2. Hello Vicki, I wish you a good and interesting New Year. Hope you are well.

    best wishes

  3. I wouldn’t want to watch it long, but I actually find the Times Square business pleasant too – Lady Gaga strutting her stuff with Dick Clark has it’s own oddly awkward charm, or Kathy Griffin who seems to have a very good straight man in Anderson Cooper.

But yeah, there’s nothinbg like a good fireworks display. I like the 31st Dec because I get a kick out of seeing coverage of celebrations coming in from around the world. Here’s the BBC’s world coverage: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-16373222
